Recently iv learned quite a bit about how computers work, one thing iv found out about it partitioning your hard drive. i dont have a complete understanding of the process, but i have come to understand that partitioning you hard drive basicly makes the OS read each partition as a seperate drive (i assume this is what is in place with the recovery drive)

what i was hoping was that you guys could give me some insight on exactly HOW i would partition my (C) drive into 2 different drives. the overall purpose of what im trying to accomplish with this is to do a factory restore and move ALL the factory files onto the seperate partition- then deny writing access so that viruses and other malware cannot corrupt the ability of the OS to perform various functions....

any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated, and if i have any misconceptions, please, let me know and correct me on any subject i may not understand

thanks again and good day!
