Any tips?

You can get more for you're money if you go with AMD. But otherwise, it looks good.

Dont fanboy hate for no reason. AMD is rockstar when it comes to gaming. The power per dollar you get blows intel away...although intel ultimately wins in efficiency of the CPU, the cost ratio is huge.

You can get the Asus M5A88-V EVO and the AMD Phenom II 955 Deneb. Everything else is compatible as well. I still highly recommend, like I do for anyone looking for an AMD build, to spend a little more and the Asus Sabertooth 990FX. You get a better warranty (5 years), better quality components, more control over power consumption and such, ultimately leading to a longer life of the computer. But the other board is also good.

One problem I can't find the AMD Phenom II 955 Deneb, I'm from Ireland and components are limited:(

amd is cheaper then intel cpu's, with (in my view) better overclocking and lower temps

I have a AMD Athlon II cpu at 3.21 ghz overclocked to 4.9 ghz but the temp is around 60-71c

i dont stik to one company it always chance. first intel is on top, then amd is on top, then intel is on top and so on. it does also depend on what category we are talking about.
let's say intel got the best High end cpu's and amd got the best low end cpu's and intel got the best low-mid end and AMD has the best mid-high end.
you see my point?

i like everyone. intel and AMD, Nvidia and AMD-graphic. i like asus, XFX, Evga, Gigabyte and so on..... except apple.

intels new sandy bridge cpu's (2 genaration core I serie) is better then amd's high end's today.
dont take my word for it. go tjek out some benchmarks. intels I5 and I7 dominates right now.
i have even dicussed this with AMD fanboys and thay agree that amd is behind right now. but ofcouse thay also sayd that thay where gonna wait for the buldozer cpu's to come out, and it is gonna kick intels ass. but... you know.. fanboys.
i dont know to much about buldozer right now, but intel is also on the way with where ivybridge cpu's 22nm. so you can see the fight does on and on.

and about overclocking. i had my core i7 920 overclocked from 2,6 to 4,2. (i have seen someone get it at 4,5 but thats also extreme for a i7-920 (920 is the cheapest core i7 for the X58 chipset))
i dont see why amd should be better at overclocking, it depends on the cpu.
there is alot of cpu's out there.
