Can't Update Computer

I am using Windows 7, and for some reason my Windows Update is glitchy. Ever since I have tried to install the latest service pack, it will not install any updates. I have already tried restarting, disabling antivirus, and installing that stuff that is supposed to fix it. How do I fix Windows Update?

Assuming the service pack installed, have you tried uninstalling it?

What error code do you get when the Windows update fails ?

You may also want to try to clear the update folder where the updates are downloaded to. There could be a corrupt file in there somewhere.

\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download

delete everything inside this folder
