Workstation cards are essentially identical to their gaming counterparts except in how the vendor chooses the cards and certifies the drivers. You can still game on those cards, but they aren't as fast because the gaming cards are tuned for gaming, not precision. I realize this is for workstation use, I'm just trying to clear the issue up a bit.
The Quadro will be a hell of a lot faster in things like AutoCAD and programs that use the GPU functionality (which the drivers are written to do). I can't find the link right now, but there's a review out there that shows what a workstation card can do in 3D or 2D development apps. It just absolutely punishes the "family" card (i.e. the gamer's card) in the app.
