Ubuntu 11.04 Kernel 3.0.1

I Have been using Xubuntu 11.04 since it released and I used previous versions of Ubuntu/Xubuntu before this and I have to say that I get the impression that Ubuntu and its clones are ill suited to power users like myself. It seems that typical power user tasks are a little to difficult to execute in this OS.

Does anyone else know what I mean?

No I don't really know what you mean, are you looking for a different distribution of linux to use? Or are you looking for something different? If you are looking for a distro that is more upstream based then you might want to give Fedora a look. If you want to roll your own distro then Gentoo is for you.

What kind of power user things are you trying to do? All the power is in the command line, and the only thing really holding you back is having to sudo everything.
