External Hard-drive Problem

Hello guys,



I have this 80GB External Hard-drive (screenshot below). If I plug it in, the motor starts up. But it doesn't read the hard-drive. It says USB device not recongized. I took it apart and fiddled around with the connection and managed to get it working again, but the one time, now it will not do anything. I will have another go once I get back home this afternoon.

sounds like it could be on its way out, try it with a different cable, uninstall and reinstall the driver try diff usb ports its usually sumtin simple or sumtin serious in which case ul need a new harddrive

does the hard drive make a loud clicking noise when it spins? If yes the hard dirve has had it
