also quick question, how much of an increase in performance is their from the 6870 to the 6950?

I'm just hoping I max out Battlefield 3 haha

I guarantee you will be able to max out battlefield 3, ESPECIALLY if you crossfire it later on. Overclocking your card to 1050mhz would make it almost as powerful as a 6950.

and I realized that Xfiring isn't worth it so I found this MOBO:Newegg.com - GIGABYTE GA-970A-UD3 AM3+ AMD 970 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

How is it? do you know of any other MOBOs at or around the same price that is better?

That mobo is great, and I'm postive that the card you are getting will be able to clock to 1050mhz, maybe even 1100mhz.

Yes, I've seen cards overclocked so that they are up to 300 mhz higher, and since you are going to have the coolermaster HAF 912, and a dual fan design, I'm positive you could do that.
