Random Chit Chat

What browser are you using? I never have to do that with chrome.

Firefox. It's always done this (ever since...well, ever; on both of my computers). I suppose it's probably just me, unless someone else is having the same problem who uses email notifications (I know a lot probably don't since it can get overwhelming).

It seems to only do it when I don't have any CF tabs open. If I have a tab open, it will not sign me out. But if I don't have a tab open and open an email link, then I'll be signed out when the page loads. Hmmm...

2nd edit: And now this time it worked with no tabs open. Gahhhh. So confused! Hahahahaha.

Just bought my ram. Decided to go with G Skill Ripjaws X (1333 Mhz, CL8) for $36.54.

I also decided to add a HDMI to my order because I didn't want to use the free newegg egg saver. Regular UPS 3 day was $5.99 if I just bought the ram alone. The HDMI was $4.99 and was free shipping too. So the ram + HDMI got me free UPS 3 day shipping, and I saved $1.

Can't wait to assemble my new computer. I have been with my C2D 7200 build for awhile now.

Is it something to do with cookies (again)? Does the email URL start with http://computer.... or http://www.computer...

Oh the partial irony!

Same here. I've been rocking this E8400 in my desktop now for what seems to be wayyyy too long. I'm so excited to go home tonight after my night class here at school and start to gather things for the build. Sadly, I'll have to pace myself as I'm preparing for a garage sale to have this Friday and Saturday.

The bookmark tab and the email links all have the 'www' in them, so they are the same. I'll mess with cookies and see what the deal is. It's just odd, because I never have trouble with any other sites (such as a Facebook or Hotmail or Twitter) remembering that I'm signed in when I open email links.

And on a random note, I know we are all quite young, minus a select few veterans that are always awesome to have around, so I'm not sure if this will apply to many: Does anyone have their Master's in anything? Right now, I'm double majoring in Social Work (like it) and Business Administration with a minor in Marketing (love it) with an emphasis in graphic design (absolutely love it). I'm thinking about getting my Master's later on down the road, but I don't want a Master's in social work or bus. admin. I could, for the most part, care less about money. I'm more worried about finding a job. HOWEVER, with that said, I want to try very hard to not have to work long outside of self-employment. It's something I've been striving for all my life. I just don't like having bosses and crappy coworkers to deal with. So, I'm thinking of grabbing my Master's in Fine Arts (the concentration would be in graphic design--such as printed and digital media), but it has to be somewhere decent and cost effective. The other thing is, I know everyone says to do it now, but I kind of want the ability to go back to school when I get older. I think that sounds kind of fun. So I don't know.

I don't think it's an issue at your end - there has been a problem with cookies for a while, and it was... fixed by making http://computerforums.org redirect to http://www.computerforums.org. My line of thought was that if it wasn't directing for the URL's sent in the email, then you might not show up as being logged in.

Yeah. Who knows. If it's just me then...it's just me. It's just always seemed to do that for me. But. It's whatever. I was in a ranting mood.

My RAM arrived at Commerce City (the place before they ship out to my house). However, they don't plan on giving it to my until Monday. Are they seriously going to keep my ram during the whole weekend? Thought they do shipping on Saturdays too.

Fedex does, UPS doesn't.
