You paid about what that laptop is worth on the open market. I have lots of older stuff I've gotten over the years that still works perfectly well but nobody wants it and I can't bear to simply toss or recycle.

I Know Right? It Is still a great little computer if you want to run older games and stuff like that, but nobody wants it!
