windows 7 update

Up until now, the update service for my windows has been working perfectly. now its throwing out error code 80072f78. I already checked other forums, which im still kinda confused what the error means, and apparently all the fixes that have been supplied have been as helpful as running a picture of a dead dog as an OS. so... can anyone help me please? (P.S. its windows 7 ultimate x86, legally activated) oh yeah, here's other tid bits of info, that according to what ive seen on other forums, i need to supply to fix this problem: im using Eset Smart Security 5 beta, with an activated license, and i use google chrome as a browser.

Hi, have you checked the time clock on your PC?

what do you mean? the bios clock(i actually think its called the CMOS clock), or the time within windows 7?

Either, I believe that error will occur when the OS is not syncing with true time.

windows is set to automatically sync with time.nist.gov, so im not sure what the problem is...
