Games Keep Minimising

I have an XP machine that ever time I open a game such as the Sims 3 it keep on minimising to the task bar. I have not tried anything as of yet and wondered if anyone could point me in the right direction.

Also games online that are full screen compatible are also being disrupted and minimised.
