buying new cpu cooler for i7

i have i7 950 and i need you to tell me which would be better.

i would buy new fans with high rpm's for best cooling, i dont care about noise.
any sugestions?

The nh-d14 would be my choice. Run it in a push-pull configuration!

Keep the fans that come with it. They are some of the most highly regarded fans as far as airflow is concerned. Use arctic silver5 thermal paste. How is the airflow in your case? What kind of case do you have and what kind of fans?

i own the fractal r3 case. 2 top fan 120mm compatable with 140mm. 1 rear 120mm. 1 side 120mm. 2 front (intake) 120mm fans
1 120mm fan on bottom. good air flow???? 7 120mm fans!

I think good CPU cooling has more to do with the passive part of the cooler (the heatsink basically) than rpm. I use a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus and it maintains my Phenom II X4 965 BE under 37°C @ idle and under 45°C @ load (ambiant temperature is 30°C).
Note: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus dose not cost more than 38 $.

i would also consider water cooling with a 280mm rad top case mounted.

280mm radiator water cooling would also be another option for me.
140mm fan x4!
