SSD in a ps3 would it work?

SSD's are only 'considerably' faster than Magnetic drives because of TRIM. Without TRIM, SSDs are only as-fast-as, if not slightly slower than, Magnetic drives.

That's not true. For writes, the performance of a SSD without trim may fall and approach that of a HDD, but for reads, the SSD will still slaughter a HDD any day of the week. And, what we are talking about here is the reading of PS3 games from a SSD. Regardless, with or without trim, the limiting speed bottleneck when writing a game to the SSD will undoubtably be either the Blu-Ray drive when reading the disc or the internet connection.

They will definiately, in this case, not be slower than any hard disk.
