i have a EVGA GTX 465 and i recently got some suprize money for becoming an eagle and would like to get another gpu to go in but was hoping to get it cheaper then my $210 gtx 465 SC. so what are my options

Newegg.com - Recertified: EVGA 01G-P3-1465-RX GeForce GTX 465 (Fermi) 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card is 199$. Be sure to make sure the motherboard supports SLI first. (Just because it has mulitple pci-e x16 2.0 slots does not mean it can allways SLI or Crossfire.) The gpu should stay the same for compatablity and reliability reasons. However, the the 2 cards will run at the slowest and least memory version of the two. You should see a ~90% increase in performance with the 2 in SLI if that makes you feel better. However you can mix brands.

does this mean it is sli i assume? saying duel.
PCI Express 2.0 x16 2 x PCIe 2.0 x16 (single at x16 or dual at x8 / x8 mode)
PCI Express x1 3 x PCIe 2.0 x1 (2 at 5GT/s [blue]; 1 at 2.5GT/s [gray])
PCI Slots 2
would it be efficient with a gtx 460 instead?

if it says dual at x8 . x8 then yes it supports SLI as long as it has an intel chip set.

also, Nvidia only supports same GPU SLI, aka ONLY 460s can go with 460s in laymens terms.
