Ram won't fit?????

I recently bought a dell optiplex gx620 usff and then bought some of this ram

1GB PC2-5300 667MHz 240pin ECC FB-DIMM Hynix HYMP512F72BP8N2Y5

I can't figure out why it won't go in. The small tab that allows it to line up is not in the correct area. I've flipped it over backwards and forwards and it won't go in. I've also tried both slots. I want to buy some ram that will fit but i'm a little nervous to buy more because I'm afraid it won't fit. Does anyone know of any reason this ram doesn't fit?

Thanks in advance

Are you sure you got the right type of RAM?
Also, have you compared the new card with one of the old ones to see if they match?

The ram you bought has more pins then the ones meant for your system. Yes, what I posted matches what is on dell's website. Also on the website I posted for your ram. "By using Memory-Up's Memory Finder, your selected memory modules are Guaranteed To Work or your money back." Is their policy.

I think the desktop that you buy is DDR3 and the RAM you have as spare is DDR2 which is not compatible with your box.

DDR SDRAM

If you scroll down a bit, there is an illustration showing the notch in different locations for different types of memory modules.
