I think he either passed away or is in very bad health.

Well, he did mention that since he's retired, the forums was his main thing. HE probably could be in bad condition, but he might stille be fine and well.

After he was banned from here he became a moderator at another forum I used to go to (ironically he was demoted for all the same reasons as he was demoted here).

What's AARP?

AARP (I'm too young to be a member) from my understanding is a membership for older folks in the states. It provides a lot of discounts on healthcare, prescriptions, and many other things. It's geared toward our 'baby-boomer' generation.
