They are allowed yes, but always watched carefully. They tend to spring up arguments really fast so the threads don't stay on topic very long.

Just don't joke about anything sensititive or upset anyone.

pretty much all topics are allowed.
anything that could end the forum in trouble is not allowed.

so don't link to pirate copies/downloads/discus how to circumvent copyright protection or hand out serial numbers.

other than that politics etc is fine... wikileaks discussion is fine, discussion of war is fine, we've hand numerous threads on drugs in the past...
the only thing to do is just not post nasty messages. just respect other people and that's fine...

Yes but they can easily get out of hand and end up being locked!
