AMD vs. Intel - Your opinion

Thou people will come on and say that Intel makes a better chip and AMD has been using the same socket for far too long. But I feel that's how AMD keeps their prices down, by not having to swap out equipment every 6 months.

My counter to that is how long the 775 stayed around vs the 939 and AM2 slots at the time.

I have always been an Intel fan boy and will probably always use them in my gaming machines. That said, I'd be more than happy to go with an AMD for a media center or something.

Owned em both they are both good IMO but from my experience AMD processors run hotter
