dumb noob sound card question

I have just acquired an HP Z400. It has onboard sound, which is unsatisfactory. If I put a sound card in it, will the front headphone jack still work?

Maybe though, if the sound card you buy has a connection for it. Otherwise the sound card will have a headphone jack built into it.

True True, though something i've noticed with HP's is that most of the internal connections seem to be proprietary so the audio headers may be aswell.
