Please help me! Screen has smashed, problem!

Okay, here me out please.

I've got two computers, one has REALLY important files, this computer recently broke, the screen smashed after I dropped it. I can't login and I need to know how I can see what I'm doing to log in through a tv or something. I just need the files, so how can I back up the entire computer without logging in?

(I've tried to connect my pc to my tv but because I'm not logged in it won't install the usb.)

ok first off, why do you have a USB to use your tv as a monitor?

To show friends and family pictures and such, for movies as well. But I never used it on the broken computer which is a work computer.

The USB part probably won't work. However you should be able to use the TV as a real monitor via an HDMI/DisplayPort/VGA connection on the laptop and TV which is probably as good as you'll be able to get without pulling out the hard drive and plugging it into another computer.
