What hardware will work with latest Ubuntu?

I am planning to build a new linux PC, what hardware will work with the latest ditro of Ubuntu? Is there a list somewhere I can look at? I am tired of linux telling me it will not support parts of my hardware.

I've had few problems, but here is a list of proven hardware.

and even then, that's just the stuff they've tested on. Ubuntu is pretty robust. I'd really be surprised if it didn't run on whatever config you're thinking of using it on.

And remember, when in doubt, just virtualize. Oracle Virtualbox is free to download & use, so it's another possible route.

I think Dell laptop would support it and even give a good performance. Dell also offers great deals to its customers.
