How would I change my Iphone from ATT to T-Mobile

I have an Iphone that I no longer want to have it with att and i am looking to start a new contract with t-mobile. Can anyone help with the steps. Would resetting the phone to factory solve my problem and have it free for t-mobile to connect my phone with them?

No this wont work. you will have to unlock your phone. Did you buy it locked to ATT ?
