Can I upgrade to 8 GB RAM with this motherboard???

Hi!
I have a Gateway GT5604
I already have 4Gb ram (2 x 2gb ram) in my computer.
I noticed that there was two other slots to add another 4gb ram.
but I i'm not sure if the two other slots are the same kind of ram.

Can I buy and add another (2x 2gb ram) and it will give me 8gb ram?
or I must buy absolutely (2x4 gb ram) to give 8 gb ram?

Just buy 2 sticks of DDR2 667 RAM and it'll work just fine. Also, if you have more than 3gb of ram your going to need to run a 64bit operating system to fully utilize the RAM.

Yes - very good point. If people are running with a 32 bit operating system it will not recognize more than 3 gb of RAM even though you may have 4gb RAM in your machine when purchased (as very many units have).
