Hey guys.... I am like 70% done with buying my rig.....any recommendations, concerns, replacements?

use: gaming and music

MOBO: g1 assassin
RAM: 24GB G.SKILL ripjaw ddr3
CPU: i7 990x gulftown six-core
GPU: SAPPHIRE HD RADEON 6970 2GB
HEATSINK/FAN: ZALMAN CNPS9900MAX-B
CASE: COOL MASTER HAF

still need:
PSU: hmmmm?????
SSD: Crucial C300 128GB

what you guys think.....anything else

why 24Gb RAM? thats just massive overkill and six core cpus arent they suppose to be slower for gaming than four cores. looking at your build tho im getting a feeling that its a money is no object kind of build, just from that CPU! In which why arent you buying a HIS ATI Radeon HD 6990 4Gb? Infact I would get rid of the 990x buy yourself a sandybridge i7 2600k and spend the money on a 6990, but only do that if you have a massive computer screen. if your screen is something like 22" I would stick with the 6970.

For the PSU I would get something in the region of 800w and upwards, 1000w and up if you go for the 6990 as they love power!
For the SSD I would wait for the next gen ones that are just literally about to come out, the first one that I have seen is the OCZ Vertex 3 which is out tomorrow and it has a good price to it. Even if you still want to go for teh C300 waiting for the next ones might drop the prices.
