What's a nice case like that doing on the floor?
2 reasons:
1. my desk isn't big enough
2. The walls are bloody awful. I had a shelf above my desk about a year ago which fell off. It was fine for a couple months, and it had very little stuff on. When the case alone weighs 20Kg, with parts weigh ~35, a hell of a lot more than what was on the shelf which fell, there is no chance I'm putting one up for it. I don't want it falling on my head, but more importantly, I don't want to damage the case or stuff inside
I can have it in another room, however, it gets no wireless signal there. I have to clean the filter every week or so having it where it is, but to have internet, it is worth it
Why is your CPU fan hanging so far below the heatsink?
I didn't have any cable ties or fan clips. I'm going to Scan on Saturday and picking up some cable ties, thermal paste, another fan for my CPU (actually a replacement, the one I have now is cheap, not very good and has had the wires spliced as a ghetto mod so it will connect to a fan header on my mobo) and another mobo replacement (this one has a dodgy fan header), then it will be right against . Until then, there is just string holding it on, but to be honest, the picture makes it look worse than it really is, you are talking about a couple mm gap, it doesn't affect anything really.
Why are you air cooling in a 700/800D?
WHY DO I KEEP ASKING QUESTIONS!?!
Because I don't have the money for water, and because air is plenty. Overclocked, my CPU is only mid 20s under load, sub 20s idle. My GTX260, overclocked (all I have in for the moment as I'm testing) is 60s under load, ~50 when gaming, mid 40s idle, so my temps are great, why pay for a custom loop? (yet ). It is something I will probably invest in eventually, but for now, air is all I need and want
