Also, get a few SATA Power adapters. XD

You probably will need to buy some SATA Power adapters

$70 for a 9500 GT is a total rip. Here are cards I recommend:

Newegg.com - PowerColor AX4830 512MD3 Radeon HD 4830 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

Newegg.com - Open Box: PowerColor AX4830 512MD3 Radeon HD 4830 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card <- Epic open box deal. Buy it ASAP if it's what you want.

Newegg.com - Palit NE39800TFHD52 GeForce 9800 GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card

All these cards perform about the same, so go with whichever one you prefer. Also, Diablotek PSUs are trash. Spend a bit more for something decent. Here's one I recommend. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ..._re=antec_power_supply-_-17-371-033-_-Product It's only 380 watts, but that is plenty for any midrange single card system.

EDIT: Oh, one more thing. Look for a better mobo. ECS boards are not good. I've owned three of them, and all three failed on me within a year. RMA was a total nightmare. I recommend ASUS, ASrock, MSI, and GIGABYTE.

2EDIT: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...0178219&cm_re=4GB_DDR2-_-20-178-219-_-Product <- Cheaper RAM

If you aren't gaming and only watching videos and using your computer for "general use" (internet browsing, music etc), I wouldn't put a graphics card in the build at all.

Also, change that PSU, Diablotek are just awful, change the memory, you can get much higher quality and higher capacity in your price range, change the mobo, ECS are appauling quality,

For your $350:

Mobo: Newegg.com - MSI 880GM-E41 AM3 AMD 880G HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard

CPU: Newegg.com - AMD Athlon II X4 640 Propus 3.0GHz 4 x 512KB L2 Cache Socket AM3 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor ADX640WFGMBOX

Memory: Newegg.com - G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F3-10600CL9D-2GBNQ

Hard Drive: Newegg.com - SAMSUNG Spinpoint F4 HD322GJ/U 320GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive

Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811146059

PSU: Newegg.com - Antec EarthWatts Green EA-380D Green 380W Continuous power ATX12V v2.3 / EPS12V 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Optical Drive: Newegg.com - LG Black 22X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 12X DVD-RAM 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-R 32X CD-RW 48X CD-ROM 2MB Cache SATA DVD±RW SuperMulti Drive - CD / DVD Burners

You are getting:

A better CPU
Better motherboard with scope for upgrading later
Same capacity but much faster hard drive
More memory and better quality memory
Better Case
Better Power Supply

If you need a dedicated graphics card, drop to an Athlon II x2, either Samsung F3 instead, or Caviar Blue and to a cheaper case, but bare in mind that the case is not only an excellent case for the price, but it also has free shiping, saving you ~$10 on that alone. That will give you enough for a decent low-mid range card

Also, if you want to keep your cash, you can remove the 3rd party cooler; the stock cooler does the job very well ;)

The stock cooler would probably be doing better than that cooler would be, especially if he went AM3, the AM3 cooler is, for a stock cooler, incredible

That bold area...Good luck fitting all the stuff in a PSU :p

As for the case, I guess he could keep the one he wants, if he likes the case.
