motherboard preferences

I started typing all kinds of info but figured noone wants to listen to my thoughts so here it is . recommend to me a good (strong) motherboard no onboard video p4 is fine (isn't it) using XP maybe going to win7 someday. I just don't want to start with junk.. In am a poor man but I like quality. THanks for any advice.

pretty vague...its getting harder to find a motherboard without onboard video.

but, I would suggest the one I'm using, Asus M4A88T-M/USB3

and please say you don't mean Pentium 4......

That motherboard you named has built in video, I don't want the video so the M4A87TD looks real nice. That board with dual AMD phenom I think looks like a solid base thanks for the tip.
