I have this motherboard. Motherboard Specifications, P5BW-LA (Basswood) - HP Customer Care (United States - English)
And this computer HP Pavilion Media Center TV m8125x PC (GM441AA) specifications - HP Home & Home Office Products

I have a few questions.

1. I have a PCIE X16 slot. Is it PCIE 2.0 or 1.0?

2. How can I check if I have dual or single slot on my computer?

3. Based from research(since I don't know a lot about computers) its seems like there are video cards where you plug directly to the motherboard for power and one's where you have to connect a PCIE 6 Pin and 6+2 Pin from the PSU. Again correct me if I'm wrong.

if you want to have dual video cards you will need either 2 PCIE slots or 2 PCI slots providing you have 2 video cards that supports pci

only needs one pci 2.0 express slot to use. ABut you dont neccessarily need any slot for the second space it takes up. While it doesn't need a second pci slot, it does at least need space available to be in. So it doesn't need the second slot, but it will still take up all the space in that second slot making it so you can't use it for anything else.
