odd usb problem?

ok im not sure if this is possible but can a usb port be over charging and frying things connected to it? from a bad ground or a faulty motherboard? reason im asking is since i have built my desktop i have gone through 4 iphones that i charge using my computer 2 mouses and an external HD, and this is the only thing ian nk of

That USB Port sure sounds fu**ed. That's probably the problem

Do you see any sparks coming out of that port? Looks like you have a short somewhere on your motherboard.

I would replace that motherboard before it starts spreading to other parts of it. I had an old EVGA board that would destroy every flash drive/external hard drive I plugged into the back ports. It ended up taking a graphic card before I introduced it to my baseball bat.

i agree the motherboard does sound like its developed a fault. Replace it before its to late
