trouble with DWL-G520

so, install the card in the slot, and start the computer.(not the one in sig)
WindowsXP finds new 'network adapter' but fails it install
I install drivers, hoping this helps, but no.
I have to go into 'add new hardware and manually install the card from a list. it won't do it automatically.
I have since had the card in every available slot. Device Manager is showing a "This device cannot start. (Code 10)"

I've never had a problem with this card before, and I'm 'proficient' around a computer enough to most problem solving.

only thing I can think of is the card is toast.

p4p800, core2duo@2.4, ATI video card(not sure), 2gb ram, 80gb hd

have you tried uninstall drivers then use the cd that came with it if it did?

i've had to download the drivers, Lost the cd, and I've uninstalled more than once
