Hi, I'm new to building computers but recently our computer got hit by lightning through the network. I got a price on some new computers but have been pricing them through newegg and can come up with what i think is a better computer for the same or less money. I need some advice from the pros as to whether this is a good build or not. Other question I have is whether all the needed cables come with the stuff. Any other tips or advice you may have on this is greatly appreciated.

everything looks good, but the video card is confusing me a bit. Unless you don't plan on gaming all that much.

Your hard drive and CD/DVD burner will not come with cables they are bare drive and OEM parts. Your video card is not really suited for video games, I would recommend spending a bit more on the video card if you plan to play games at all. Rosewill PSU's are KNOWN to be faulty and many RMA's are used on their products, go with an OCZ PSU instead.

If you want better advice on computer builds ranging from $300 for a basic build to $1500 for an elite gaming computer, check out http://ElitePcBuilding.com for more information, it shows you how to acutal build the computer too.

thanks for the advice so far guys. The computer will be used mainly for internet/typing but i would really like it to be set up for most gaming. I'm really sick of looking at a game and knowing that buying it would be pointless because my old computer would crash at the thought of running it. Where is one able to get cables and such for the hard drive and dvd/cd drive? To keep the budget somewhat in check I downgraded to AMD phenom II X3 715 black edition and added newegg.ca #n82e16835186035ed. Would newegg # n82e16814121413 be a better graphics card? What is it that makes the other graphics unsuited to gaming? what specs tell you that?
