If you have two Gmail accounts, or you would like to create an family/project account, or share your account with other family member, besides signing on and off the account, or sign in google by multiple accounts (click HERE for the guide), there is a straightforward way to delegate gmail account to other people/accounts. I personally think it is very useful for people who want others to have access to read or respond to mail on their behalf.
First, go to “Gmail†--> “Setting†--> “Grant Access to Your Account†and typed the email account which you would like to grant the accessibility.
After a few minutes (official suggested time by google: within 30 mins), gmail will send an email to the email address where the accessibility just granted. And then the other person can access your email address on your behalf.
The delegate's email address will show from the drop-down menu next to your email address.
What can other people do on your behalf
This delegation will enable another person to read, send, and delete emails on your behalf. However, they will not be able to change the account password and other settings, and will not be able to chat on your behalf.
