Tv goes black.

I am using a 22in tv as a monitor and went i set it's resolution above it's native (1024x 768) it just goes black. Everything is way to close now, help?

What is it's resolution? A lot of TV's like that when used as PC monitors actually use a much lower resolution than advertised.. also, what's your refresh rate set at?

1024x 768 It's through a DVI connection, which makes it so blurry and close.

It's refresh is at 60.

You cannot use LCDs above their native resolution.

I used an HDMI cable and got it to 1360 x 768.

Well it's gonna be hit and miss, TV's don't have the proper signal processing to display computer stuff. I've seen TV's that work great as monitors then others that don't work worth a crap. Chances are, you're just stuck with that 1024x768..

It would help if you gave a bit more info, such as what TV you're using and how it's hooked up.

It's a 22inch jvc tv hooked up to my pc via hdmi.
