I have a sony 40" LCD TV, its the 500 series. And a LG LHB335 reciver. They are connected via optical. Now, this only happens with digital channels as far as I know, but randomly the audio will cut out for a second or two and come right back on. Not the analog (we have basic cable) and not for any other source as far as I know. It doesn't happen for the TV when I'm not using the receiver. I check the cable, its RG6 all the way out of the house, and the splitter it goes through is rated for up to 1GHz. I dunno what is causing this. I don't have any other optical audio devices to try to see what the problem is. Ideas?

edit- this appears as though this is happening to OTA channels only, as in the local channels we can get via satellite. The other couple not local HD channels appear to not have this problem. Could it be something with those channels? Also, if I have an HDMI cable plugged into the TV only, and nothing on the other end, could this cause problems?
