I have these 2 RAM boards i think? im good with computers but am not familiar with their parts. It says 256mb, i believe that is not that large? Are these a certain make? How much are they in the shops? They were removed from a previous computer that had its memory upgraded, would that mean these boards still contain the files stored on that computer, or would they have been wiped? can they be used again?

I know theres a lot of questions, any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks, Adam

p.s sorry about the size

yes ive seen on the label its DDR , which is desktop i believe. and yes it says 256mb on the label

DDR can be desktop or laptop. Becasue of the size, that is desktop memory. To be very specific, it's a 256MB stick of PC-3200. I'm not sure how much they go for in shops now, if you can even find a stick that small.

As for things stored on them, anything that is put on RAM is only temporary. Anything that is stored in RAM gets lost every time the system shuts down/restarts. Assuming you have a computer that supports DDR, there is no reason that those sticks would not work.
