Building My First Computer

Power supply-- 1200 watt power supply
Not bad but a smaller PSU would do.
Motherboard-- ASUS Rampage III Extreme LGA 1366
Look at the Asus P6X58D-E or Gigabyte X58A-UD5.
Processor-- Intel i7 Extreme 980X 3.33GHz
Nice. ;)
RAM Memory-- 24gb (6x4) 1600 MHz DDR3 (kingston)
An absolute over kill and waste of money! Seriously if you were scoring a huge video or something then 12GB is fine but for gaming 6GB is all your gonna need.
Video card-- AMD Radein 5970 2gb x2
For gaming one will do you fine.
Storage-- crucial RealSSD 256gb x 1 Western Digital Caviar® 500gb x1
Nice.
Operating software-- Windows 7 Ultimate
64 bit.

You could save a few £/$ here by simply getting rid of what is totally un-necessary. Overall though, all the above wrapped up in a SilverStone Raven RV02 would make a very nice machine.

I would have to agree with Remeniz on this. 25 gb is to much 6 will be fine. I actually don't know a game that asks for 6gb or ram well at least not yet lol. but save your self some money or buy something else for your gaming sound system or something. Or maybe a nice CPU cooler to keep the CPU nice and cool when you play. I think others will agree on that.

Thank you so much everyone for all the help!:)
One last question, what kind of CPU cooling would you recommend for the Intel i7 Extreme 980X? I want it to be nice and safe haha
