UBER Aion glitch

On behalf of my friend, I am posting this thread. He is experiencing a very strange glitch whenever he attempts to play the game AION: Assault on so-so. It appears to be something wrong with his computer, seeing as though this problem only occurred recently. He allowed me to explore his account, (he watched me at my computer) and the game runs perfectly fine on it. Whenever he uses his computer however, he cannot move, use ANY skill or ability, any chat text and names is displayed in strange symbols, and if you notice, the rez is apperantly set to 00000, and sometimes the floor doesn't finish loading. Below is a screenshot he sent to me what he sees during the game:

His OS is Windows Vista
He has 155gb left of Hard Drive space
Can't find how much ram

So what is wrong here? Any replies will be much needed. Thanks.

First thing I'd do is uninstall and reinstall the game. Then I'd update video and audio drivers. If there is still a problem, I'd run the main executable in compatibility mode for XP-SP3.
