I tried to flash the BOIS but did not work. I think my only hope in to buy another cmos battery or just throw it in the garbage can? I can not get into the BOIS and it won't boot.
I have the message "BIOS ROM checksum error Detecting floppy drive A media. I did everything I can think of which is about 4 hours worth of troubleshooting and it still won't boot.

Your motherboard is done for......a failed BIOS flash means a dead board.

Just curious, what was the reason you were flashing your BIOS? The basic rule of thumb is that you should never need to flash a BIOS unless you have a serious problem. You never do it just to do it because something like this can happen.

I was trying to flash the BIOS as a last resort and some of the user said to but I'm not very educated on the BIOS and I retired 7 years ago and I'm reading the new 2010 1300 page A+ book and I work in th field for 20 years but if you don't use it you lose it and I think I lost it so I'm trying to get it back.
