Laptop CD/DVD Drive

My cousin claims her laptop cd drive is broken...I dont see any laptop drives on newegg or tigerdirect. Where can I buy a replacement or would it jsut be better to buy an external?

I've bought them on eBay before. If her laptop is newer, it will most likely be sata which means most drives will work as long as they fit. However, most will not match the case of the laptop, so I suggest you get one specific for her laptop model.

There are quite a few replacement drives for it on eBay, but that is the cheapest one capable of burning DVD+/-RWs.
