Hi guys.
Having some wiring trouble
Here is a crudely drawn diagram of my setup.

The computer stuff is pretty much standard, and i am sure i havent been doing anything wrong with that but it wont work. The bit at the bottom is the box that my rooms phone cable goes into. What is it? It has four wires, two from each end, with blades on each of the four parts you seemingly slide the wires into. Is it some really old connection box?
I need to get a small internet phone line connected to the end of one of the wires. With this cable is it possible to wire one on. This is he very small one, not the phone type or the one that is ethernet type. Thanks
