Need help to connect computer to wireless

I currently have a desktop that is using a Netgear wireless router. My mac is also using the router. We have just bought my daughters a desktop that is up on top floor of house. I am not sure what it is that I need to get them hooked up to internet. We have one phone line, but I don;t want to have to go super expensive, they just need it for school. Any suggestions? I appreciate your time and responses.

You'll just need a Wireless adapter for the desktop in order to connect to the wireless router. You can find one here.

You'll need to install this inside the desktop which may therefore void any warranty on the machine. If you're not comfortable doing that, you can get a simple USB Wireless adapter such as this.
