another noob building his first computer. need some advice

so im looking at building my first computer and i basically have only a week of reading online info for experience. im looking to keep it around or under $1k as im not a hardcore gamer but i would like to play a mmorpg or two. ive made a wishlist on newegg.com basically off of people reviews and a little research online. im open to suggestions and input. if i missed something in my build please point me in the right direction. thanks in advance.

Overall, I think it looks great. The only thing I'd be tempted to change is the power supply. I'm the one in a million that just hasn't had good luck with anything corsair. I would consider going to this power supply instead: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341018&cm_re=OCZ-_-17-341-018-_-Product It's cheaper and more powerful. Yes, it is rated one less egg, but it does have 6 times as many reviews to back it up.

I'd wait on the PSU until someone else voice their opinion but otherwise it looks good to me.

yes i did click on it and check it out. i showd this to a friend and he said the ram and the mobo wont work together. are they not compatible? i think its cuz the mobo isnt sata compatible.

The RAM and mobo are not compatible, as the mobo takes DDR3 RAM, and you have DDR2 picked out. Might I suggest:

Tons more graphic firepower for the cost, and the CPU will be plenty to drive the setup. It's all preferences though, just thought I'd weigh in on VINMAN's setup to give the thread a two-sided approach.
