Any tips and modifications welcome... especially as i am not to sure about the graphics card.

It looks like a good build. The graphics card is a good one I'm currently running the asus version of the 5770. Also did you look at the i7 930 and the 1366 chip set?

Thats a great combo that will save you some money and you get a processor thats just as good as the 870 and from what i hear overclocks better than the 870. The money you save can be put towards both the triple channel ram that the 1366 Board supports as well as bumping you up to a 58xx series graphics card. I think it would give you a little more bang for your $$.

Go with the i7 930 and get some triple channel ram also get a 460

thx for your reply but im a bit confused.. i think ill go with the 930, 1366 chipset but are they computable etc?

as for the I7-870 its spec say for ram is DDR3-1066/1333? does that mean i have to change my ram to a 1333MHz?
So this? is what u guys recommended?

Good selection of parts there.

The only thing is you need tri-channel RAM, RAM sticks in groups of three not two. So you'll want either 3GB, 6GB, 12GB and so on. 1600Mhz speed is fine.
