Macular degeneration

My mother has something called Macular degeneration. Her eyesight has diminished from it. To keep her sight from getting worse or the same, the doctor said she needs to put shots in her eyes for a couple of weeks.

The question I have for you all has anyone dealt with this issue and if so, does it help at all? Plz let me know.

I think you would be better off getting advice about this from a doctor, not people on a computer forum, you may get incorrect advice which could do more harm than good.
