i want to upgrade wattage

Hi all, im a gamer. And i am kinda pissed because i cant run any decent games because im horribly bottlenecking my current card. my card is an 8400 gs on a power supply of 300w that cant exceed 268 watts. But forget my card cause i want a new one. A decent one that can play games well like garry's mod and most mmos. So i need a power supply of a decent price and can support a new card, that can run the games i like. ty

ohh and if anybody can reccomend cards for the power supplies they reccomend that'd be awesome

Cool welcome to CF. Couple questions, 1. What kind of computer are running now, some specs on it (CPU, Ram, ect) 2. Whats your budget that you are looking to spend because a decent price can range quite a bit from one person to another.

theres no point in telling you to go out and get a GTX480 with a 850W PSU
if your mobo is too old
it might be better to build a new rig
but the more you can tell us the better
