I have an ASUS p6t motherboard and I'm thinking that there is something wrong with it. I boot my computer up and the monitor just stays black. I had it plugged into the graphics card at the time. I then plugged it into the motherboard and same thing. I took out the hard drive to see if it was the drive that was broken but the same thing happened again. I was thinking to reset the BIOS by taking out the system battery. But does anyone know if that'll do anything or what could be wrong with it?

Check all connections than reseat(take out put back) everything GPU/RAM and see what happens.if nothing than go ahead and take the battery out to reset the BIOS which might sovle your problem.

yo i bought the same mobo and had same problem look at my earlier post "issue with m/b?"
return it and get another.
atm im in the process of getting another new one :D
asus mobo's get defectived very often, well not often but relatively high compared to others... these mobos get purchased like hotcake so the chnace of getting a defective one is high
