Well, here's how I look at it - when I walk around, I don't want people to think I have a tumor in my leg.

Get TuneUp Utilities 2010, it has a turbo mode which you can one-click enable and it will disable the aero theme as well as a lot of the unwanted processes. It's for giving your computer more juice while gaming but it's good for battery life too.

I'll give that a try but I can't get over how not free it is.

lolz yea that's the only bad thing about it, it's a great little program and has some awesome features, but the fact that there's a price tag on it suxors.

Turbo Pascal!? A Pascal compiler MIGHT be able to disable aero... but that would be an incredibly long winded way of doing it xD
