When you look in my computer at you Hard Drive you can see the free space.

Now there is a lot of free space that we don't use but windows does.
Tempory files.
Recycle Bin space.

So when you look at the free space of your hard drive am I right that it will not be giveing you the empty space you use or set for Recycle Bin and Tempory Internet files and so on. It will be giving you just the free space that you can use for your self?

I did not ask right sorry.

Say I set temp files folder to say 20 MB
Now this 20 MB of space is not for me to use even though nothing may be in it.

So when I right click on my hard drive and it tells me my FREE space size. It will not be adding in the 20 MB will it?
Because remember this may be free space but I can't use it so it sould not ad this to my free space when it tells me how mutch space I have left on my hard drive?????????

Windows always reports the actual free space on the drive. That's space that isn't being used by System Restore, Hibernation, etc. Your caching space, which is what you are asking about here, is used up on an as-needed basis, so it will change as the space is used up, which will affect the entire drive's free space pool, as reported.
