Acer Laptop Screen

Most people replace the screen? If thats even a possibility...Or just buy a new laptop?

I know you can replace the screen and from what I understand its not toooo difficult but you might have to weigh the cost of the screen and age of the laptop to the cost of a new laptop.

From what I.ve read it requires you to unscrew the face of the screen boarder and unplug the old lcd anf then just reverse with the new screen.

Yeah i remember when the screen went out on my Toshiba laptop it was going to cost more to replace the screen than to buy a new one. But like rakuma said you just have to compaire the two prices and see which one makes you come out the winner!!

its a 17" screen Acer from Wal Mart..think like $500

I think thats what you would be looking at. sooo the new screen would be 199. So do you think that replacing it would be worth it?

Uhm, You might be able to find one used on craigslist or something? even a crappy broken Acer laptop with the same sized screen. would be cheaper than right from the factory

Look up the model number of you laptop and you should be able to find a spec sheet that has the part number you are looking for.
