i have a computer with the specs as following

asrock motherboard K758x
amd athlon xp 2100+
1 gb of ram (ddr 400)
graphics card is radeon 9550

question is worth keeping ?? good for anything ??

Its pretty dated. So unless you have some reason to keep it ( kid to play on it and learn, play around with diffrent OS). It doesn't have much value so its up to you after that.

I use a computer just like that.

It runs XP and sits in the house taking print jobs from the other computers.

Every computer can be used for something. High end, top performing this one ain't though, as Rakuma said.

Yeah that's my lack of use for things like that og makes a fine point. I omitted uses like that not because I thought they pointless but because never having a use for them. Didn't occur to me.

I'm getting ready to build a new comp and I was thinking about taking my pentium 4 which is running xp and probably about the same as that athlon xp. And throwing a large hdd in it and running it as a media machine attached to my tv.

i am going to get a home server made would need one to be more powerful for media streaming etc. but just wondering what to do with this ?
